T. Omar Malone Omar Malone founded the Malone Law firm with one guiding principle in mind: to ensure regular people who are in need of an experienced and reliable attorney have one they can afford.

We believe regular people shall never be victimized because they lack an affordable, experienced and reliable attorney to hold irresponsible corporations, insurance companies, individuals and governments accountable for the injuries they have caused.

Omar received his law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1990, where he was named as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and earned the distinction of being the Salutatorian of his law school class.

After graduating from law school, Omar clerked for the Honorable Kenneth M. Hoyt, a United States District Court Judge in the Southern District of Texas. In 1991, Omar moved back home to New York City where he worked in the prestigious Wall Street law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. At Skadden Arps, Omar specialized in business and commercial litigation and counseling executives, entrepreneurs, insurance companies, banks, manufacturers and financial institutions in pre-litigation and litigation matters.

In 1995, Omar moved to Miami to become a lawyer for the federal government and shortly thereafter, was named to a supervisory position handling all types of federal legal matters throughout southern Florida. After spending ten years in government, Omar became a partner in a prominent Miami law firm where he continued to handle litigation matters throughout the state of Florida and across the United States. For the last fourteen years, Omar has been the managing partner of his own firm where he continues to represent, advise and guide individuals, athletes, artists, business executives and businesses through complex regulatory (civil and criminal) compliance, contractual and businesses matters.

Omar is a nationally recognized attorney with more than 27 years of legal and litigation experience. Recently, after a thorough review of his professional and litigation experience, significant case results, representative high stakes matters, peer reputation, and community impact, Omar has been recognized as one of America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators®, a distinction received by less than one-half percent (0.5%) of active attorneys in the United States. He has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2012. This distinction is held by only a select group of attorneys nationwide who have a demonstrable history of skill and proficiency in the practice of law. Omar has been selected for inclusion in Cambridge Who’s Who of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs and been recognized as one of The Top Trial Lawyers in America®, among the 3000 Leading Lawyers in America by Lawdragon® and enjoys membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum ®, honors reserved for fewer than 1% of attorneys nationwide who have obtained at least one million dollar and one multi-million-dollar jury verdict, award or settlement. Omar has been selected by the Chief Judge of the United States District Court in Miami to serve on the Court’s Ad Hoc Committee on Rules and Procedures for the Southern District of Florida as well as the Ad Hoc Committees for Magistrate Judge Selection. Omar has been chosen by judges on more than one occasion to serve as a court-appointed receiver to oversee the business affairs of companies and/or shareholder during the pendency of ongoing and contentious litigation.  Omar has been a sought-after instructor at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy since 1997 teaching trial and advocacy skills to lawyers from around the country. Omar currently serves as the president of the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association.

Omar has been admitted to the New York, New Jersey and Florida bars. He is admitted to practice law in federal courts nationwide, including, the Northern District of California, Middle, Northern and Southern District of Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Eastern and Southern District of New York and Southern District of Texas.

In addition to the practice of law, Omar is extremely active in the community. He has been the voice of WTPS Radio 1080’s The Power of Attorney, a talk show that focused on educating the community about legal issues and community affairs.
